Guidefinder, Inc. Announces 3 New Lake Portals

By Anonymous

Guidefinder, Inc. (Red Oak, Texas) announced it has launched three new lake portals Lake Lavon Fishing (www.lakelavon-fishing.com), Lake Whitney Fishing (www.whitney-fishing.com), and Lake Palestine Fishing (www.palestine-fishing.com). "We have actually gotten ahead of ourselves because of input from our surveys. These sites have all been launched as a result of public demand we received during fishing and outdoors shows we exhibited at this year. Now we are actively seeking local input and contributors for each lake to give us our local content. Our numbers from the web site activity are supporting this, with recent hit rates consistently exceeding 100,000 per week total for all of our existing sites. We expect this to grow throughout the summer and vacation season. The public support for the concept has been absolutely incredible." said Theo Hughes, President and CEO. These lakes will join the existing lake portals for Richland Chambers (www.rc-fishing.com), Sam Rayburn (www.samrayburn-fishing.com, Toledo Bend (www.toledobend-fishing.com), Lake Fork (www.fork-fishing.com), Caddo (www.caddo-fishing.com), Cedar Creek (www.cedarcreek-fishing.com), Monticello (www.monticello-fishing.com), Possum Kingdom (www.possumkingdom-fishing.com), Ray Roberts (www.rayroberts-fishing.com), Tawakoni (www.tawakoni-fishing.com), and Texoma (www.laketexoma-fishing.com), and the state portal, Texas Fishing (www.tx-fishing.com). Guidefinder is a privately held Texas corporation specializing in marketing, outdoor web sites, and services.

ISHIR INFOTECH lauches BLUDRAKE.com which deals in fishing store in Dallas offer fly fishing guides offering travel vacations and saltwater fly fishing destinations.

March 16, 2004--David and Cathie Coleman, owners of Blue Drake Outfitters, are avid outdoors enthusiasts and passionate about the sport of fly-fishing. As native Texans, they decided to open their own business in Dallas and fly-fishing store. In June of 1994, they opened Westbank Anglers Dallas in Inwood Village. In November of 2001, the Colemans changed the name of the store to Blue Drake Outfitters. They kept the same location, same staff, and the same quality products and services.

Over the years, David and Cathie have had the opportunity to travel and fish the world. Together they have been to and fished the following destinations: Alaska, Argentina (Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego), Australia, Bahamas, Belize, Brazil, British Columbia, Christmas Island, Chile, Costa Rica, Seychelles (Indian Ocean), New Zealand, and the U.S. including Arkansas, New York, Colorado, California, New Mexico, Wyoming, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, the Texas Coasts, and the Florida Keys.

Salt Water Fishing Licensing Will Generate Millions For Environmental Conservation

By Anonymous

June 22, 2004 -- The current environmental crisis is little understood by most because they cannot see the damage that is being done everyday because it is underwater. Thousands of tons of litter are thrown into the ocean every day where it destroys marine life. Lets look at just one example of destructive environmental abuse, the millions of fishing lines and lures that are lost every week remain in the oceans forever, the hooks killing fish that bite them and die, a process that is repeated over and over again.

Modern fishing line materials will last for thousands of years, causing this process of death and destruction of our fishing stock to go on and increase for centuries to come.

We need to legislate that biodegradeable fishing lines and lures be developed and their use required by law. We must do the same for all forms of fishing, including commercial fishing and fishing done near our shores by foreign companies.

We also need launch a massive cleanup of the ocean bottom. A Federal Department of Oceanic Environmental Conservation needs to be created and given the responsibility to clean up the oceans and enforce regulations. It can no longer be left up to the States and communities that line our shores. And it cannot be left up to individual fisherman to choose whether they will act responsibly or not.
